Too Tempting

This week myself and the other creative ladies of The Memory Nest Design Team were asked to create a layout using Paper Cottage by Basic Grey.
When I saw this paper I immediately thought of these pictures of my daughter Claire. We were at the beach last summer and what was supposed to be a walk along the shore turned into her swimming in the lake with her dress on. The water was too tempting for her to just stand on the shore, so in she went. This is of course why I called my page "Too Tempting". I cut my title out using my Silhouette - the font I used is called 'Care Bear Family' which is an adorable font, especially the little heart to dot the 'i'.
I wanted to use as much of this lovely patterned paper as possible while still keeping the focus on my pictures, so I added each pattern in small amounts. All the patterned paper in this line is double sided so there were many options to choose from. I used the honeycomb paper along the bottom of the page and cut some circles using the grid paper and the medallion paper to tuck in behind my photos.

The 'lovely' tab and the 'happy' strip are from the coordinating sticker sheet and the large yellow flower is from my stash.
I really liked working with this paper line - lots of pretty patterns in beautiful colors. And I have to say that I enjoyed working with pictures from the beach; what better way to remind me that it will eventually get warm here in my neck of the woods.

Stop by The Memory Nest for Design Team Tuesday to see what the other members of the Design Team created using this paper - so beautiful and so inspiring.
