Snow

This week myself and the other members of The Memory Nest Design Team were asked to create a layout using Winter Frost by We R Memory Keepers.
I had this picture of my girls in the snow and was having a really hard time finding paper to coordinate with it; the number of colors in their winter jackets, hats, boots, and pants made it very hard. When I saw the Winter Frost papers I was so relieved - I could call off the hunt because suitable paper had been found.

The blue/grey tones in this paper collection made for the perfect neutral background for my picture allowing it to really 'pop'.

From the coordinating sticker sheet I used two snowflakes as embellishments and the word “snow” as a title - I attached them all to my page using foam squares to give them some added dimension.
I usually try to match my pictures to my patterned paper when I am scrapbooking, so going with a neutral background and having my picture stand out so much is a little out of my comfort zone. But that is good, right? A creative challenge - the best kind if you ask me!

Winter Frost is a lovely line of paper - perfect for winter pictures, especially those where people are uncoordinated in their outdoor clothing choices.

The other girls on the design team have created some incredible layouts using this paper line. You can check out their work here.
